Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable position alarm device 1 which enables a user to preset an alarm event to be generated when the device arrives at a predetermined position.SOLUTION: An alarm event is warned to a user by voice, visually, or by vibration means 14. An alarm device determines its actual position by using GPS data. In one embodiment, the user bookmarks an interval physically present at a predetermined position. A processing unit which bookmarks the interval includes a device which simultaneously receives the GPS data showing its physical position. After that, the user can set the alarm event to every bookmarked position without requiring a device including a large database in a type of performing cross reference, for example, to place names with mapped coordinates.
