PURPOSE: To provide the position and attitude input device for a three- dimensional model capable of simultaneously executing the input operation of six degrees-of-freedom deciding the position and position and attitude of the three-dimensional model.

CONSTITUTION: An operation member 2 is supported by X/Y/Z-axes orthgonally crossing at a single point so that moving quantities in the directions of the respective axes are detected during time for operating respective switches 17 to 22 provided on the operation member 2 so as to input information concerning the position. On the other hand, switches 11 to 16 are respectively operated by respective rotation members 3 to 5 rotating around each axis at the time of making the operation member 2 rotate around each axis so that a rotation quantity around each axis is detected during time for operating the respective switches 11 to 16 so as to input information concerning the attitude.
