Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simultaneously detect the inclination of an object to be detected and a distance from a light-emitting means by a method wherein three or more light-receiving means are installed in the X-direction and the Y-direction so as to surround the light-emitting means in the center.
CONSTITUTION: A light-emitting element 1 is installed in a point of intersection by an X-axis, a Y-axis and a Z-axis, photodetectors 2a to 2d are arranged in the X-axis direction and the Y-axis direction in a cross shape at equal points from the point of intersection. Output signals from the photodetectors 2c, 2d are supplied to a noninverted-input terminal and an inverted-input terminal at a differential amplifier 11, a difference signal from both detectors 2c, 2d is taken out at an output terminal T1, and the signal is used as an X-axis-direction skew signal. In the same manner, output signals from the detectors 2a, 2b are supplied to a noninverted-input terminal and an inverted-input terminal at a differential amplifier 12, a difference signal from the detectors 2a, 2b is taken out at an output terminal T2, and the signal is used as a X-axis-direction skew signal. In addition, outputs from the detectors 2c, 2d and 2a, 2b as pairs are supplied to individual noninverted-input terminals at summing amplifiers 13, 14, outputs from the amplifiers 13, 14 are input to a noninverted-input terminal and an inverted-input terminal at a differential amplifier 15, and a Z-axis-direction distance signal (a distance up to an object to be detected) is taken out from an input terminal T3.
