Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detection device with which it is possible to prevent false detection attributable to a manufacturing error or ageing degradation, etc., and reliability detect a specific position of a rotor.SOLUTION: A position detection device 20 is configured from a rotor 21, a photointerrupter 22, and a control unit 5. In the rotor 21 are disposed process-specific notches 50a-h, a non-translucent part 60, a reference notch 55, and a comparison non-translucent part 61. The circumferential length of the reference notch 55 is set to a reference length a. The circumferential length of the comparison non-translucent part 61 is set to a comparison length b shorter than the reference length a. The control unit 5 measures a light-receiving time in which the photointerrupter 22 detects light and a light-shading time in which the photointerrupter 22 does not detect light. The origin position of the rotor 21 is detected on the basis of a position at which the light-shading time measured subsequently to the light-receiving time is shorter than the light-receiving time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
