Abstract:
To provide a position detection system, etc. which can accurately detect distance between an ideal position on a trajectory and an actual position of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A position detection system comprises: a distance measuring sensor which is attached to a vehicle traveling along a trajectory and can measure distance over a predetermined range in a trajectory width direction; an edge position detection part which detects a position of an edge in the trajectory width direction of the trajectory on the basis of distance measurement data by the distance measuring sensor; and a distance calculation part which calculates distance between a reference position of the trajectory which is specified from the position of the edge and a reference position of the vehicle to which the distance measuring sensor is attached in the trajectory width direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
