Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record sight-seeing information automatically from a data base when a desired spot is approached. SOLUTION: A plurality of directional antennas A1-An arranged on a circle are switched sequentially by means of a switch 11 and the direction of a transmitting station is detected when the receiving level of a set radio wave is maximized. Directions θ1, θ2 of a plurality of transmitting stations are detected and used, along with positional information (known) of the transmitting stations B1, B2, for operating the current position at a position estimating section 19. If the current position falls within a previously registered specific area before departure, it is detected and a data base unit is accessed from a terminal 22 and sight-seeing information of the specific area is acquired and displayed at a display section 15.
