Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detector that makes it easy to align a web end and a beam of light while maintaining the accuracy of detecting the web end.SOLUTION: Provided is a position detector 10 provided in a web guide device that is installed on a manufacturing line that manufactures product while successively conveying webs B. The position detector 10 comprises a web end detection unit 11 for detecting an end WE of the web W and a detection unit control unit 15 for controlling the operation of the web end detection unit 11. The web end detection unit 11 includes a transmission unit 12 in which a plurality of light sources 12c for irradiating the web W with a beam of light are disposed side by side and a receiving unit 13 having a plurality of light-receiving sensors 13d for receiving beams of light emitted from the light sources 12c, the plurality of light-receiving sensors 13d being disposed side by side in the same direction as the plurality of light sources 12c are arranged.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
