The pointing device 1 has a gyro sensor 20 for detecting the angular velocity in the direction of a x-axis, a gyro sensor 25 for detecting the angular velocity in the direction of a y-axis, low pass filters 30 and 35, operand amplifiers 40 and 45, a control means 6 constituted of a CPU or the like, a data transmission module 7, a power switch 5, a left switch 8 and a right switch 9. They are stored in a casing in prescribed arrangement. The control means 6 has the A/D converter 61 of eight bits, a signal processing circuit 62 which signal-processes an output signal from the A/D converter 61 and a memory 63. The signal processing circuit 62 executes a processing for enlarging the output value on a side where the output value of the A/D converter 61 increases.
