Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically judge an area neighboring to a certain position/ facility by an electronic map-using device.
SOLUTION: A neighborhood judgement start node determining means 102 determines a node corresponding to a specified position from a road network in map data 101 and a neighborhood judging initial value setting means 103 determines an initial value based upon the sort/attribute of the specified position and a user's instruction through a neighborhood initial value correcting means 106 and sets up a neighborhood judgement start node. The neighborhood judging value of the node judged as a node included within a neighboring area by comparing the value with a previously determined threshold by a neighborhood judging means 105 is repeatedly distributed/propagated to connected nodes by a neighborhood judging value distributing/propagating means 104 to judge the area neighboring to the specified position.
