To provide a position retrieval system by which a current position of a possessor of a mobile communication terminal can be measured and a position not in distant future can be estimated with accuracy higher than that of a conventional system.
The position retrieval system that retrieves a position of a possessor of a mobile communication terminal by using a mobile communication network and measures its position to inform a person requesting the retrieval about the estimated position, uses the position data of the possessor of the mobile communication terminal obtained by using the mobile communication network and databases 6 and 7 prepared in advance for the processing of the position so as to estimate the position of the possessor of the mobile communication terminal.
