Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position identifying system capable of identifying a wheel fitting position inexpensively and with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A tire position identifying device 10 provided in a vehicle 1 transmits a chirp signal to a sensor unit 30 provided in each tire 2. Each sensor unit 30 re-radiates the transmitted chirp signal by an antenna and controls whether or not to perform re-radiation according to specific binary data. The tire position identifying device 10 stores a PN code of each sensor unit 30 and generates an expected signal which is expected to be received from each sensor unit 30 based on the chirp signal to be transmitted to the sensor unit 30 and the stored PN code. The tire position identifying device 10 identifies a mounting position of each tire 2 according to the level of a beat frequency by calculating the beat frequency from a difference between the generated expected signal and the received signal.
