Abstract:
The positioner of the present invention can reliably change a regulating valve to a fail-safe state for a short-circuit mode due to an accidental failure or the like of an electronic device. The positioner is provided with a current monitoring circuit (6) and monitors the value of the current Ic flowing to an internal circuit (4). In a case where the value of the current Ic flowing to the internal circuit (4) is out of a normal range (for example, Ic >= 5mA), a CPU (1) replaces an adjustment signal with an emergency open circuit signal and outputs the emergency open circuit signal to a current adjustment portion (7) for forcibly changing the current Id destined for an electric-air converter portion (8) to zero to make the regulating valve fully closed (or fully open).
