Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the erroneous setting due to an obstacle, etc., by setting the stop position of a print head as the initial position when the coincidence is obtained between the counter count value and the prescribed value that is obtained when the print head set in the opposite direction to the initial position is shifted toward the initial position. CONSTITUTION:A hit detection counter 9 is reset each time by a timer which counts reference clock signals G with a speed pulse signal K and therefore stops its counting action when no signal K is produced from a photodetector 13. At this moment, a print head 15 is shifted left. The stop position information C is set after the presetting is over, and the head 15 is shifted to the left side by a motor 11. Then the motor 11 stops when the coincidence is obtained between the count value of a position counter 1 and the information C. The position of the print unit 15 is defined as the initial position for the start of printing.
