To provide a positioning cylinder device capable of easily changing stroke end position of a piston rod.
The positioning cylinder device is provided with a cylinder body 1 including a piston 2 in its inside, a hollow piston rod 3 extended from the piston 2 to the outside of one end of the body 1, a ball screw 5 to be rotated in accordance with the movement of the piston 2, a rotational angle detector 11 for detecting the rotational angle of the screw 5, a direction switching valve 8 capable of supplying working fluid to a rod side fluid chamber 1a and a head side fluid chamber 1b in the body 1, and a controller 10 for exciting solenoids 9a, 9b for the valve 8 based on a rotational angle detection signal 11s from the detector 11, a previously set working range signal 15s and a working command signal 16s inputted from the external. When the set value of the signal 15s is changed, the stroke end of the rod 3 can be changed.
