PURPOSE: To position a label member by moving the label member to a set position to a handling device by a method wherein a corrective device is operated under a condition where the aspiration force of a chuck device to the label member is reduced through a switching measure.

CONSTITUTION: A switching valve 11a is switched to the operating position, and a switching valve 11b is switched to the neutral position. To a bottom surface opening 7a of a chuck device 7, high vacuum is given by a vacuum pump 9a, and the chuck device is reversed to a position where a label member 2 is stuck, and is lowered. As the result, the label member 2, which is stuck on a pallet 1, is drawn to the chuck device 7 by suction and is peeled from the pallet 1. Then the chuck device 7 is lifted, and when the chuck device 7 reaches a corrective station, the switching valve 11a is switched to the neutral position, and the switching valve 11b is switched to the operating position, and low vacuum is given to the bottom surface opening 7a of the chuck device 7 by a vacuum pump 9b. When an air cylinder 17 is extended, a corrective block 14, which is linked to the piston rod of the air cylinder 14, comes into contact with the label member 2 which is drawn to the chuck device 7 by suction, and the label member 2 is moved in the lateral direction by being pressed by the corrective block 14.
