To avoid a failure of a mounting angle since positioning and fastening work are required again when no angle guarantee can be made in a stage where conduction confirmation and angle guarantee are executed after fastening a position sensor.
A positioning jig 10 is provided with a drive part 11 and positioning part 12 and placed on a positioning sensor 1. Positioning projections 22-24 of the positioning part 12 are engaged with a neutral position groove. In this state, the positioning part 12 is pivoted by the drive part 11 to pivot the position sensor 1 to the ON position of the R contact integrally therewith to measure the N to R angle from the neutral position to the ON position of a reverse contact. After that, the N to D angle from the OFF position of a reverse contact to the ON position of the drive contact is measured by reversing the positioning part 12. From the measured result, the positioning part 12 is pivoted by the drive part 11 again to move the positioning sensor 1 to an accurate neutral position. In this state, the positioning sensor 1 is fastened.
