PURPOSE: To obtain a positioning device for a traverse type mobile vehicle housing body in which the positioning of a cleaning unit housing body can be performed with high responsiveness and high accuracy even when environmental fluctuation occurs and a cleaning unit can be transferred to a lateral rail.
CONSTITUTION: The rough positioning of the cleaning unit housing body 4 is performed by a wind-up device 7, and when fine positioning of the cleaning unit housing body 4 is performed by a positioning device 14, the positioning with high responsiveness and high accuracy can be performed by changing the control parameter of a compensator in a positioning controller 13 to the optimum value sequentially by using the information of the length of a wire lope detected by a wire lope length detection sensor 23.
