PURPOSE: To provide a positioning method using an image processing and the device which are capable of positioning with high accuracy.

CONSTITUTION: This method and device have a process performing a rough positioning so as to conform the centroid of the positioning part of processed parts 1 to a preliminarily set center point based on the position data of the parts obtained by performing an image processing by illuminating the whole of the processed parts 1 to be positioned from upward by a first light source (ring illumination) 6, and a process conforming the centroid of the positioning part of the parts to the center point based on the position data of the positioning part of the parts obtained by performing an image processing by illuminating the inside of the positioning part of the parts by a second light source (spot illumination) 10.
