Title:
POSITIONING SYSTEM UTILIZING MULTIPOINT OBSERVATION NETWORK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003270318
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To perform positioning calculation even if the number of navigation satellites acquired by a reference station and by an arbitrary observation station in common is fewer than four, in a positioning system wherein relative positions of the reference station and a plurality of observation stations are obtained by utilizing the phases of carriers for satellite signals.

Positioning calculation for an arbitrary observation point is made possible by utilizing: the phase of a carrier from an arbitrary observation station, satellite-by-satellite phase differences of carriers with respect to the phase of a carrier from the reference station, with observation stations other than the arbitrary, observation station being assumed to be temporary reference stations, the phase of a carrier from the arbitrary observation station, and satellite-by-satellite phase differences of carriers with respect to the phase of a carrier from the temporary reference station.
