Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive charge type toner ensuring good image density and fog resistance over a long period of time even when printing at a low printing rate is carried out and to provide a method for producing the toner.
SOLUTION: When the positive charge type toner containing fine dry silica powder and fine wet silica powder as additives and the method for producing the toner are provided, fine dry silica powder having a positive charge type polar group and a hydrophobic group and fine wet silica powder surface-treated with a quaternary ammonium salt and having a fluorine-containing negative charge type polar group are used.
