Abstract:
To provide a positive displacement compressor and a refrigerator that can improve the operation efficiency of a refrigeration cycle, and can improve reliability.SOLUTION: A positive displacement compressor comprises a closed container, a compression element, an oil storage part in a bottom part of the closed container, an oil separator for separating oil from a discharged refrigerant, and an oil return path for returning the separated oil to the oil storage part. The oil return path comprises a temporary oil storage chamber for storing the separated oil separated by the oil separator, a float provided in the temporary oil storage chamber, a float valve to be opened/closed in conjunction with up-and-down movement of the float, an oil return passage for returning the oil stored in the temporary oil storage chamber to the oil storage part by opening/closing of the float valve, and an auxiliary flow passage for returning the oil stored in the temporary oil storage chamber to the oil storage part continuously little by little regardless of opening/closing of the float valve.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
