To provide a positive displacement fluid machine achieving improved volumetric efficiency by improving sealability of an operating chamber.
This positive displacement fluid machine includes: a cylindrical rotor 22 mounted on the peripheral side of a drive shaft 15 decentered in a casing 11 and revolving with the rotation of the drive shaft 15; and a vane section stored in a protruding/receding manner on the peripheral side of the rotor 22, and sectioning a main operating chamber formed on the peripheral side of the rotor into a low-pressure side and a high-pressure side. Fluid sucked from a suction opening is delivered from a delivery port 39 by a change in volume of the main operating chamber due to revolution of the rotor. The vane section has a swing vane provided at its end on the side of the main operating chamber and swingable in response to revolution of the rotor. An arcuate recessed surface is formed at the end of the vane section on the side of the swing vane, and also a first pressure chamber 60 is formed by cutting out the end of the arcuate recessed surface.
