Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode for a lithium-ion secondary battery, capable of withstanding high-voltage driving.SOLUTION: A positive electrode active material layer is formed of: positive electrode active material particles containing a Li compound or a solid solution selected from LiNiCoMnO, LiCoMnO, LiNiMnO, LiNiCoO, and LiMnO(where 0.5≤x≤1.5, 0.1≤a<1, 0.1≤b<1, and 0.1≤c<1); a binding part which binds the positive electrode active material particles together and binds the positive electrode active material particles to a collector; and an organic-inorganic coat layer covering at least part of the surface of the positive electrode active material particles. The organic-inorganic coat layer has a high bonding strength to the Li compound and is thus capable of suppressing direct contact between the positive electrode active material particles and an electrolyte during high-voltage driving.
