To provide a cathode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, which enables the reduction in impedance of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery.SOLUTION: A cathode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises: a cathode collector 11 including a cathode collector body 14 made of a metal material; and a cathode active material layer 12 present on the cathode collector 11. The cathode active material layer 12 contains a cathode active material. The cathode active material has, on at least part of its surface, an active material-coating portion containing a conductive material. The cathode collector body 11 has, on at least part of its surface on the side of the cathode active material layer 12, a collector coating layer 15 containing a conductive material. The ratio of a thickness of the collector coating layer 15 to a thickness of the cathode active material layer 12 is above 0.000 and below 0.020.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
