Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a positive temperature coefficient characteristic thermistor device with which a moisture-proof property and low resistance can be accomplished using an aluminum electrode.
CONSTITUTION: Ohmic electrodes 3 and 4 formed by the material made by adding low resistance particles to aluminum paste are provided on a PTC ceramic element 2. At this point, when an electrode baking treatment is conducted when the ohmic electrodes 3 and 4 are formed, the low resistance particles are coated with glass frit contained in the aluminum paste, and the oxidation of the low resistance particles can be prevented. Accordingly, the ohmic electrodes can be formed in the state of low resistance.
