Abstract:

To provide a positively chargeable toner capable of retaining a favorable positively chargeable property and suppressing generation of an inferior image such as photographic fog, and toner scattering.

Zirconium oxide microparticles are stuck to the surface of toner base particles, and the toner base particles include at least a binding resin and colorant. The surface of the zirconium oxide microparticles is treated by positively chargeable surface treatment agent and silicone oil. A mass ratio between the positively chargeable surface treatment agent and the silicone oil that are stuck to the surface of the zirconium oxide microparticles is defined to 6:4 to 2:8, where the ratio is (the positively chargeable surface treatment agent):(the silicone oil).
