To provide a post for a guard fence capable of being attached to an opposite side face of a ground-covering concrete road in a pressed state by arranging a movable auxiliary fitting to a plate of the post.

A post for a guard fence is provided with: an oblong hole 21 for inserting an anchor bolt bored in a plate 3 of the post for the guard fence 1; an oblong hole 22 for inserting a bolt bored in the plate 3 at a position opposite to the road; and the auxiliary fitting 6 which can be connected to the hole 22 for inserting the bolt with a fastening member 5 at a lower face of the plate 3 at the opposite side to the road, and can be pressed to the side face of the ground covering concrete 2 opposite to the road.
