Abstract:

To provide a post-processing apparatus or the like that can determine whether post-processing can be performed on a bundle of sheets of paper fed from a plurality of pieces of sheet feeding means without setting media information such as a thickness of each sheet by a user.SOLUTION: The post-processing apparatus includes: sheet bundle generating means 32 for generating sheet bundles A, B, C in which a sheet 40 having high-reliability media information and a sheet 50 having low-reliability media information are mixed, which are sheet bundles composed of sheets fed from a plurality of pieces of sheet feeding means 2, 34; estimating means 301 for estimating a maximum value Tmax and a minimum value Tmin of media information in the entire sheet bundles by using the maximum value and the minimum value of the media information in the sheet 50 having the low-reliability media information; determination means 301 for determining whether post-processing can be performed based on a post-processable threshold set in advance according to a post-processing mode and estimated maximum and minimum values of media information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
