Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a front side and a rear side of a paper from being inverted due to presence of post-processing at a first post-processing part, as required, in a case where there are provided a first post-processing part having an inversion mechanism and a second post-processing part thereafter.SOLUTION: A post-processing device includes a first post-processing part containing a paper inversion mechanism and a paper surface processing mechanism for applying a process on a surface of the paper, a second post-processing part which is positioned on a downstream side in paper transportation direction of the first post-processing part and is different from the first post-processing part, and a control unit for controlling the first post-processing part and the second post-processing part. The control unit decides whether or not to use the inversion mechanism according to combination of a post-processing mode which uses the first post-processing part and a post-processing mode which uses the second post-processing part. Thus, an output in which front sides and rear sides of paper are aligned can be easily obtained as required, and the inversion mechanism is used only when required to suppress degradation of productivity as much as possible.
