Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a post-processing device capable of effectively improving deterioration of productivity by a press bonding operation of paper bundles irrespective of size without increasing the size of the device.SOLUTION: For each part of a binding control part which is constituted as a function on hardware of a post-processing device loaded on an image forming apparatus, image processing means 401 forms toner images at press binding parts on at least one paper surfaces of the first pages, and the last pages to be boundaries of a plurality of parts of paper bundles based on printing number information for every copy from printing request management means 400. Binding number control means 402 determines a paper binding number concerning the number of copies of the paper bundles to be bound in block at once by press binding with a binding tool based on printing number information for every copy and bindable number information of the device. Press binding control means 403 performs the press binding with the binding tool at once by collecting a plurality of parts of the paper bundles in which the toner images are formed according to the paper binding number in response to a binding operation request via conveyance control means 404 to be made separable at toner image parts.
