Abstract:
To prevent occurrence of paper jam and at the same time, reduce productivity decline by processing semi-transparent paper in the same manner as regular paper once the semi-transparent paper is judged as detectable by a penetration type sensor.SOLUTION: The post-processing device to be connected to an image formation device includes: sheet transport means that transports a sheet delivered from the image formation device; and sheet detection means that is provided on the transport route of the sheet transport means and detects the sheet. The first sheet of low light transmittance is post-processed in the first post-processing mode, and the second sheet of higher light transmittance than the first sheet is post-processed in the second post-process mode that is different from the first post-processing mode. At the same time, the third sheet of light transmittance at the middle value between those of the first sheet and the second sheet is post-processed in either the first post-processing mode or the second post-processing mode based on the information related to the light transmittance of the third sheet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
