Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a post-processing device in which time for staple processing is shorter compared with a conventional post-processing device while having a simple constitution.SOLUTION: A post-processing device 1 includes a tray 31 for loading a sheet bundle to be subjected to the staple processing, a stapler 32 which is arranged so as to move in the direction orthogonal to the discharge direction of the sheet bundle and staples a plurality of positions of the sheet bundle loaded on the tray, a sheet bundle shifting part for shifting the sheet bundle loaded on the tray in the direction orthogonal to the discharge direction, and an operation control section. The operation control section makes the stapler staple one position of the sheet bundle, and then, makes the stapler move to a position corresponding to a position to be stapled next. Simultaneously, the operation control section makes the sheet bundle shifting part move the sheet bundle in the direction opposite to the sampler moving direction.
