PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a post-processing device that can increase the possibility that paper jam is resolved by retrying conveyance of sheets and reduce delay in post-processing caused by the paper jam.SOLUTION: A post-processing device (150) includes: a detection part (304) that, when conveying parts (231 and 232) conveys sheets ejected from an image forming apparatus (100) and stored in a tray (200) on the tray, detects jam of the sheets; an estimation part (305) that, when the detection part detects paper jam, estimates the cause of the paper jam; and a retry control part (306) that causes the conveying parts to retry conveyance of the sheets in a mode according to the cause estimated by the estimation part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
