Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a conveyance path between punching means and discharge means.SOLUTION: A post-processing device includes: a conveyance roller 27 for conveying a recording sheet S; a punching device 28 for forming through-holes in the recording sheet S; a compile discharge roller 6 for holding and discharging the recording sheet S; a standby roller 29 for allowing the recording sheet S to stand by on a saddle-stitched conveyance path SH8 as a standby recording sheet S1; and a control part for allowing the compile discharge roller 6 to hold the recording sheet S and the standby recording sheet S1 with their edge parts aligned before the edge parts of the recording sheet S and the standby recording sheet S1 reach the compile discharge compiler 6, and for allowing the punching device 28 to form holes in the recording sheet S by switching back the recording sheet S and the standby recording sheet S, and for allowing the compiler discharge roller 6 to discharge the recording sheet S and the standby recording sheet S1.
