To easily obtain a thickness of a cover for a reinforcement in a post 10 having the reinforcement inside a steel pipe.
A spiral steel pipe 1 having a reinforcing bar 2 is filled with a concrete, which is hardened. A space between the steel pipe 1 and an outer pipe 3 is filled with a cover-securing material C like the concrete, a mortal, or an industrial waste glass wool. By arbitrarily setting a diameter of the outer pipe 3, being a backing frame, the cover having a needed thickness is obtained evenly on the whole post. By forming a level difference S at both ends of the pipes 1, 3, the post becomes followable to a large deformation on a big earthquake or the like, eliminates restraint on deformation of the steel pipe 1 by the outer pipe 3 and prevents an unexpected crack so that a highly tenacious post may be obtained. The highly tenacious post is hardly broken and is very strong. The level difference makes the post easy to fit to a slab or the like. Ring-shaped attachments 5 made of an elastic material are fitted between the ends of both pipes to be movable in a longitudinal direction of the pipes to absorb a crushing force. A paper pipe, a synthetic resin pipe or the like is used for the pipe 3 to obtain different variations of patterns on its surface.
