PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a post for supporting a solar battery panel trestle, enabling an aboveground height of a trestle mounting surface to be adjusted even after the post is erected on a ground.SOLUTION: A post for supporting a solar battery panel trestle includes a lower side post member 11 and an upper side post member 12. A pair of first long holes 16, 16 allowing bolts 13 to penetrate therethrough respectively are formed at two positions, respectively, in peripheral surface parts facing each other in the vicinity of a base end of the lower side post member 11 installed on a ground. A pair of second long holes 19 allowing bolts 13 to penetrate therethrough respectively are formed at two positions, respectively, in peripheral surface parts facing each other in the vicinity of one end of the upper side post member 12 for mounting and fixing the trestle 2 such that the second long holes 19 are substantially orthogonal to the first long holes 16. A flange-like base part 20 becoming a trestle mounting surface is formed on the other end of the upper side post member 12. The lower side post member 11 and the upper side post member 12 are coupled by the bolts 13 and nuts 14 via the first and second long holes 16, 19.
