Title:
POSTSCRIPT TYPE OPTICAL DISK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03138193
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a postscript type optical disk equipped with an org. dye recording layer having high reflectivity and a narrow absorption wavelength band by successively forming a specific Si-naphthalocyanine org. dye recording layer and a reflecting layer to a transparent substrate.

CONSTITUTION: A postscript type optical disk has a transparent substrate 1, the org. dye recording layer 3 formed on the substrate 1 and the reflecting layer 4 formed on the org. dye recording layer and the org. dye recording layer 3 thereof is constituted of Si-naphthalocyanine represented by formula I (wherein R is an alkyl group). As the substrate 1, a light permeable material such as polycarbonate or polymethyl methacrylate can be used and, as the reflecting layer 4, a metal such as Al, Au, Cu or Ag can be used. Si-naphthalocyanine has high reflectivity and a narrow absorption wavelength band. By this method, the postscript type disk having high reflectivity and a narrow absorption wavelength band and having a high CN ratio and high sensitivity is obtained.
