To provide a posture retaining means which is provided with a mechanism for fixing the shape of itself in a bent state in order to keep the body in a specified posture and prevents the load of the body from being concentrated on a specified part even without a separate cushion material.
The posture retaining means 1 is provided with an air permeable inner bag filled with many granular bodies and an air impermeable outer bag inside which the inner bag is sealed as a mechanism main body 3, and the shape is fixed by the adhesion of the respective granular bodies by pressure reduction inside the outer bag. The inner bag is provided with a structure for which a plurality of granular body filling chambers are planarly connected vertically and/or horizontally, a soft synthetic resin foamed body 6 is stuck to at least one surface of the mechanism main body, and a plurality of vertically and/or horizontally extended recessed parts 61 are formed on the outer surface of the synthetic resin foamed body.
