This food is obtained by the following procedure: potatoes (e.g. potatoes, sweet potatoes) are, for example, steamed and then finely crushed, and subsequently formed into a plate of e.g. rectangular or circular shape, which, in turn, is baked with an oven or the like to make its surface hard and stable; two of the resultant plate are superposed on each other, and various ingredients (e.g. meat, cheese, laver, bean jam, cream) are sandwiched therebetween; alternatively, such ingredients (e.g. meat, cheese, laver, bean jam, cream) are wrapped with the above-mentioned unbaked plate or the like followed by baking with an oven or the like or frying so as to make the surface of the plate hard and stable. The food thus obtained is healthy and tasty, being harmonized owing to the combination of the tastiness of potatoes as vegetables with that of ingredients.
