To solve a problem in which parts other than sprouts of a potato are removed because a blade of a kitchen knife is not acute-angled in a part close to the grip and in which handling with the kitchen knife is very awkward and unsafe particularly on small potatoes.

The potato sprout remover is equipped with a handle that is integrated with a tube and a rod that reciprocates inside the tube. Also, a pin fixedly inserted together with the handle and the tube is mounted on a slot of the rod, so that, when the tube is inserted over a sprout of a potato, the depth of the insertion is restricted. For the purpose of inserting the tube over the sprout of a potato and turning the handle at that position to cut the sprout at the end of the tube, there are provided projections in several places inside the tube, while the rod is equipped with a pushing part to push out the sprout of the potato inside the tube.
