The potential-dependent cation channel inhibitor comprises a phthalide analog represented by formula (1) [wherein, ring A is a saturated, partially unsaturated or completely unsaturated six-membered ring; X is C=CH-R1 (R1 is 1-12C alkyl), CR2R3 (R2 is 1-12C alkyl; R3 is a hydrogen atom or 1-5C alkyl); R4 and R5 are each, same or different, a hydrogen atom or hydroxy] as an active ingredient.
