Title:
POTTER'S WHEEL FOR CERAMICS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2008093908
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a potter's wheel for ceramics which has both functions of an electric lathe and a manual lathe, is prevented from being rotated irregularly when used as an electric lathe and excellent in storage properties, and has functions besides a lathe.

A plurality of spline grooves 15 are formed in the axial direction in both of a rotation shaft 9 and a rotary shaft 12, and grooves 15 engaging with the spline grooves 10 are formed in a joint 13 set between the rotation shaft 9 and the rotary shaft 12. By vertically moving the joint 13 by operating an operation lever 7, the connection between the rotation shaft 9 and the rotary shaft 12 can be made engageable/disengageable, so that the potter's wheel can be used as an electric lathe or as a manual lathe.
