Title:
POTTERY KILN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2007040692
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a pottery kiln capable of minimizing thermal loss in a firing chamber while suppressing discharge of black smoke and soot.

This pottery kiln comprises a kiln body 4 for regulating the firing chamber 6 and a flue 8, the firing chamber 6 and the flue 8 being partitioned by a lower wall 22. The lower wall 22 includes a gas discharge port 34, and high-temperature combustion gas from a combustion burner is introduced to the firing chamber 6 through a gas inlet port 32 and the high-temperature combustion gas in the firing chamber 6 is guided to the flue 8 through the gas discharge port 34. An air inlet port 36 for introducing secondary air to the flue 8 is provided in the bottom of the kiln body 4, the gas discharge port 34 includes a cylindrical member 38 extending from the lower wall 22 into the flue 8. The combustion gas in the firing chamber 6 is introduced to the flue 8 through the cylindrical member 38, and the introduced high-pressure combustion gas is secondarily burnt by the secondary air introduced through the air inlet port 36.
