Abstract:
PURPOSE: To protect a deodorizing filter from contamination with excretion by providing a gas outlet means of a pouch for an artificial anus which houses endogenous excretion passing a small orifice with a deodorizing filter by means of a protective filter which prevents semi-liquid excretion from flowing.
CONSTITUTION: A pouch 10 for an artificial anus made of a gas-impermeable and inflatable thermoplastic material, has a front wall 12 facing opposite to the abdomen of a wearer, a rear wall 14 facing the abdomen of the wearer, a top 18 and a bottom 20 with an opening end 22 which can close repeatedly. On the rear wall 14, an opening is formed close to the top 18 and this opening is bordered with a ring-like coupling flange 30. On the front wall 12, at a location adjacent to the top 18 away from the opening with the flange 30, an S-letter shaped gas expulsive slit 36 is formed and on the inside plane matching substantially to the slit 36, a circular deodorizing filter 40 is installed by way of the protective filter which prevents the flow of semi-liquid excretion.
