POURING DEVICE FROM CUPOLA TO MOLD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3085089
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To keep the excellent casting characteristic by shifting the molten metal from a cupola to a ladle to minimize the temperature drop of the molten metal.
CONSTITUTION: An induction heating device 4 is individually attachable/- detachable to/from a plurality of ladles 5. In the attached condition, the induction heating device 4 is arranged at the position where the molten metal can be received from a cupola 2. The induction heating device 4 is provided with magnetic pole parts 7a, 7b on both ends of a primary core 7 of an induction heating coil 6. The ladles 5 are arranged opposite to the magnetic pole parts 7a, 7b on both ends in the attached condition, and provided with secondary cores 8a, 8b opposite to the molten metal 1 in the ladles 5 with their magnetic flux being crossed. A carrying device 9 which holds the ladles 5, and separates them from the induction heating device 4 to be moved carries the ladles 5 from the molten metal receiving position to the position where the molten metal can be poured into a mold 3.
