Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a structurally simple pouring device which is capable of executing pouring while shutting off air and does not occupy much space as the pouring device for introducing molten metal from a distributor into a continuous casting method having a nozzle opening arranged in the base of the distributor.

CONSTITUTION: An immersion pipe (4) projecting to submerge under the liquid surface of the molten metal in the casting mold (10) is arranged under a nozzle (2) of the distributor (1). The axis (6) of the nozzle opening (3) of the distributor (1) exists in a eccentric position from the major axis (7) of the casting mold (10). The immersion pipe (4) is fixed at the distributor (1) rotatably around its major axis (5) and the major axis (5) of the immersion pipe (4) is arranged in alignment to the major axis (7) of the casting mold and is in contact with the nozzle (2). The end face (12) of the immersion pipe (4) is arranged in the position eccentric from the major axis (5) of (4).
