Title:
POURING GATE REFRACTORY FOR BOTTOM POURING INGOT-MAKING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02229646
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent coating from being entrained to a steel ingot by forming a pouring gate with the porous refractory of a high alumina quality.

CONSTITUTION: A forging steel ingot bottom pouring ingot-making device is formed by placing a double stool 3 and a casting mold 5 on a stool 1. Also, a molten metal port is formed with the porous refractory 4 of a high alumina quality. In this state, a molten metal 6 is allowed to pass through a runner brick 2, allowed to pass through the porous refractory 4 of the molten metal port and poured into the casting mold 5. In this case, the molten metal 6 is poured slowly into the casting mold 5 from the porous part. In such a manner, a satisfactory forging steel ingot which improves the cleanliness of a molten metal can be manufactured.
