To develop a supporting device for a trough body to speed up and stabilize centering of a pouring trough at a time of reversing and resetting operation of the trough body attitude after completion of casting.
A winding rigid member 13 as a disc-like component has a peripheral side surface 13s protruding outside from the outer peripheral surface 6s of the trough body 6 orthogonal to the longitudinal direction thereof, and has the trough body 6 engaged through the center part of the rigid member 13. The member 13 is fixed at a predetermined position in a longitudinal direction of the trough body 6, wherein a support rotation means is provided at a plurality of positions of the peripheral side surface of the rigid member 13. The support rotation means is constituted to support the trough body via the peripheral side surface of the disc-like component and is rotated along with the rotation of the trough, when the trough body is rotated centering around the axis core line in the longitudinal direction. Furthermore, a V-shaped cutout groove is formed from the peak of the disc-like component toward the center of the circle, making the bottom surface of the groove a smooth bending surface corresponding to the cross section configuration of a molten metal flowing passage of the trough body. As a plurality of support rotation means, the outer peripheral shape of the roller cylinder of the rotatable support roller is matched to the bending surface of the peripheral side surface of the disc-like component. A vertical and lateral movement adjusting mechanism for the support roller and an adjustment mechanism in the direction of the trough body axis core line are provided.
