Abstract:

To provide a powder alloy containing Mo and S for a low friction sintered body, which can hold Mo based or Mo-Fe based S-rich phase having lubricity even when is sintered together with powder materials containing Cr and C, by preventing generation of Cr sulfide or Mo carbide, and thereby can reduce a friction coefficient of the sintered body.

The powder alloy for the low friction sintered body comprises being manufactured by means of quenching a molten alloy including Fe as a major component, 1-4% S, 18-30% Mo, and one or both of Al and Si in a rage of 0.1-10% in total by mass ratio, by a spraying method or the like.
