To provide a powder electrification/classification apparatus which electrifies powder and enables classification of the charged powder in accordance with an electrified state.

The powder electrification/classification apparatus is provided with an air stream generator 1 which generates an air stream 1A, a means 2 which supplies powder 8A to the air stream out of the air stream generator 1, a conveyance path 4 which conveys the powder by flowing the air stream therethrough and a cyclone device 3 which introduces the powder riding on the air stream from the conveyance path 4 thereinto. The conveyance path 4 or the cyclone device 3 has the constitution which is also provided with a contact charging mechanism, the powder is electrified by the contact charging mechanism and the electrified powder 8B is classified in accordance with the degree of electrification by using separating bias voltage in the cyclone vortex in the cyclone device. Therefore, the powder is electrified while being conveyed by means of vapor phase conveyance and the properly electrified powder (electrified particle) 8C is classified by the cyclone device 3 and can be taken out.
